1968
Founding of Surfside 3 Marina
Surfside 3 Marina was established in Lindenhurst, New York, by the Barbara family. The marina began as a modest operation, offering essential boating services to the local community.
1970's
Became A Carver Dealer
Surfside was quickly awarded the largest Carver dealer for 5 years in a row.
1990’s
Became a Sea Ray Dealer
Along with Boston Whaler, Surfside was the leading dealership for these two brands and sold in NY for over 15 years
2000’s
Open Chelsea Piers Location
With a massive launch, Surfside 3 Marina expanded operations to Chelsea Piers in New York City.
2010’s
Surfside Sold to MarineMax
The Barbara Family sold the marina business to the publicly traded company, MarineMax and Matthew Barbara remained on as the Regional VP of the Northeast for over 10 years.
2020’s
Transition and Rebirth as SS3 Marina
In the early 2020s, the Barbara family reopened their boat dealership under the new name, SS3 Marina. With two locations in Lindenhurst-Surfside 3 Marina & Yacht Club and Seaside 3 Marina-SS3 continues the family's legacy, offering premier boating services and amenities.
